The NPI Special Seminar held on June 9 opened with remarks by Aso Taro, NPI Chairman. This was followed by a keynote speech delivered by Robert Ward, Director of Geo-economics, Japan Chair; Senior fellow for Japanese Security Studies at The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), a partner organization in the United Kingdom. A panel discussion featuring Japanese experts was held afterward.
