Asia-Pacific Review, Vol. 20, No. 2(NOVEMBER 2013), is released.

We are pleased to announce the release of the IIPS 25th anniversary edition of the IIPS journal, Asia-Pacific Review.


This volume features some special contents. First, it has a lead article by IIPS Founder and Chairman Yasuhiro Nakasone with recollections of his own time with President Ronald Reagan and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. This article is followed by the English translation of the 25th anniversary commemorative policy proposals for Japan.


Second, we are very honored to have articles contributed by some key political and executive figures such as Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera, Economic Revitalization Minister Akira Amari, and Governor of the Bank of Japan Haruhiko Kuroda on the current policies of the Japanese government.


Third, we also receive insightful essays from leading scholars such as Professor Akio Watanabe of the University of Tokyo and Professor Ezra Vogel of Harvard University about the Asia-Pacific region and Sino-Japan relations.


Finally, from IIPS, we publish articles by Executive Director of Research Shinichi Kitaoka, Director Taizo Yakushiji, and Senior Fellows Shin Kawashima and Yuichi Hosoya.
