On May 13, 2026, a delegation from the Prospect Foundation visited the Nakasone Peace Institute (NPI).

The visitors, led by Chairman Dr. Tan-Sun Chen, exchanged views with NPI researchers on topics including the situation in the Indo-Pacific region, Japan-Taiwan relations, and China's hybrid warfare. From NPI, President Hirofumi Nakasone, along with other executives and researchers, participated in the meeting.

Both sides shared the recognition that cooperation between Japan and Taiwan is essential for maintaining peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, deterring a Taiwan contingency, and responding to hybrid warfare, including information warfare in the cognitive domain. They also confirmed their commitment to contributing to the further strengthening of bilateral relations.
