Mr. Shiro Patrick Armstrong (Award of Excellence)

Reason for selection: As a leading economist in the Asia-Pacific region, Dr. Armstrong has advocated for the enhancement of cross-border cooperation in various fields, including the economy, and has played a role as a bridge between Japan and Australia by building networks for information exchange and human interaction between the two countries. He has also actively convened and participated in policy dialogues across the entire Asia-Pacific region, making significant achievements.

Ms. Endo Tamaki (Incentive Award)

Nationality: Japan
Professor, Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, Waseda University

Reason for selection: As a researcher specializing in the Southeast Asia region, Dr. Endo has conducted academic research based on data-based analysis in the field of Development Economics, such as urbanization, poverty, and life awareness. She has also contributed to the understanding and development of the Asia region, which has diverse economic and social systems, through academic research and the formation of international intellectual networks. In addition, she has actively made policy proposals, achieving remarkable results.

Mr. Takagi Yusuke (Incentive Award)

Nationality: Japan
Associate Professor, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS)

Reason for selection: As a researcher specializing in the Southeast Asia region, Dr. Takagi has conducted comparative research on the history of development and nation-building in Southeast Asian countries based on modern Philippine history. In addition, he has widely disseminated his research results in Japan and internationally through websites and English-language journals, making significant contributions.

Ms. Fukuda Madoka (Incentive Award)

Nationality: Japan
Professor, Department of Global Politics, Faculty of Law, Hosei University

Reason for selection: As a researcher specializing in Chinese and Taiwanese politics and diplomacy, as well as cross-strait relations, Dr. Fukuda has deepended academic research, actively disseminating information at global research forums and knowledge that forms the basis for understanding cross-strait relations both domestically and internationally, making significant contributions.
